In this era of rapid technological growth and advancements, it has become quite imperative to expose children to the invaluable skill of coding at a young age. Beyond just navigating the digital world, and running after academic excellence, being a computer science student I can say with my insight and experience that learning to code empowers young minds to become creators, problem solvers, and innovators. It is a known fact that young people are the future makers of the country. Therefore, I am going to explore extensively the numerous possibilities and benefits associated with learning code at a young age.

Greatly Cultivate Critical Thinking among youngsters:

As we know from the various exciting facts and figures produced by our technical experts and scientists and even we have witnessed the utilization of the same during the difficult period of covid19 where critical thinking of individuals and groups have devised solutions to many encountering intricate problems Solutions, frankly speaking, that all have been possible with extensive utilization of technology and coding skills at most. Therefore, we need to understand the essence of Learning to code so imparting the knowledge to the kids in turn will help nurture critical thinking skills in children. As they embark on coding projects, they learn to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable parts. By developing logical reasoning and analytical thinking, young coders gain the ability to approach challenges with confidence and creativity.

Example: Imagine a 10-year-old named Arnab who is passionate about video games. By learning to code at a young age, Abhinav can create simple games, allowing him to understand the underlying mechanics and problem-solving techniques required to develop games. This fosters his critical thinking skills and encourages him to think like a game designer.

Make youngsters get familiar with Creativity and Innovation at different levels:

In my opinion, Coding provides persistently an outlet for creativity and encourages children to think outside the box. Help them break the wall of academic pursuit and scoring marks which mostly our education system is inclined with. It empowers young incisive minds of the country to transform their ideas into tangible digital creations making them get together with what was unknown to them, whether it's designing websites, developing mobile apps, or animating stories. Through coding, children can learn to innovate, turning their imagination into reality what we witness in the movie in the form of graphics this all have been possible due to coding knowledge and programming skills.

Example: Meet Adi, a 12-year-old aspiring artist. By learning code, Adi merges art and technology, creating interactive digital artwork. Through coding, Adi animates paintings, adds interactivity, and even develops digital installations. This fusion of creativity and technology broadens Adi’s artistic horizons and sparks endless possibilities making him creative prowess with some sort of perfection.

Consequentially Enhance Problem-Solving Skills:

Coding teaches children to approach problems with a systematic and logical mindset disbarring the possibility of attempting problems randomly as it will end no more as per anticipation. As per my knowledge and experience of coding skills,It trains them to identify patterns, analyze data, and devise efficient solutions that be cost-effective, environment-friendly, and practical execution is possible. Such invaluable skillset extends beyond coding and becomes applicable to various real-life situations, fostering resilience and adaptability.

Example: Sara, a 14-year-old student, uses coding to tackle environmental issues. She develops a mobile app that educates users about sustainable development that our prime minister always talks about. She calculates carbon footprints and provides eco-friendly alternatives to mitigate carbon emissions to a large extent. These are nothing but examples of problems solving skills. In addition to that suppose Sara using deep learning develops an app that can analyze and detect breast cancer. These are examples of problems solving skills that can be inculcated in the young mind of the country. This makes it clear that Through coding, Sara empowers herself and others to address critical global challenges.

Positively promotes and encourages Collaboration and Teamwork:

To address this point in an effective way possible, let me quote my examples, in our 5th semester we had to develop a mini project in a subject called DBMS where we utilized our coding skills and teamwork that makes it happen in a time-bound manner. Teamwork and collaboration play an important role in shaping the fate and future of the team and individuals associated with it. Team means “together everybody achieves more”. Team works contribute to the overall development and increase excellence in the area of lacking. In a team, not all the people need to know everything, some might good at finding errors, some might be good at finding solutions using his/her coding skills, and some might be excellent in academics when all the minds come together to create a positive mind and common ground where everyone through skills set, by debate and discussion solve the complicated and complex problems. In other words, This nurtures their ability to communicate ideas, listen to different perspectives, and work effectively as a team.Collaborative coding experiences foster a sense of community and encourage young learners to value diverse skills.

Example: In our college, there is a coding club, which is a group of young coders who collectively build a website to raise awareness about flora and fauna found in our college surroundings. Each member contributes their unique coding skills and design expertise. This collaborative effort not only showcases their technical abilities but also instills the importance of teamwork and cooperation.

The open plethora of Future Opportunities:

In my opinion, who keeps himself up to date with technological advancements can say with a learner that As we know world becoming increasingly digitized, where coding knowledge proficiency opens doors to a wide range of career opportunities that ranging From software development to data science, cybersecurity to artificial intelligence, the demand for skilled coders continues to grow despite so much layoff of throughout the world. Therefore, standing with facts and figures, it is best to introduce coding learning skills at a young age, as it develops children to gain a competitive edge and lay a strong foundation for their future endeavors.

Example: who can forget Child prodigy Kautilya Katariya who is the Guinness record holde for being the world's youngest computer programmer at the age of six?

The benefits of learning to code are enormous and it consists of sea knowledge that can be used to solve outnumbered problems of people, industries, and organizations. Therefore, learning coding at a young age is undeniable. As It fosters critical thinking, ignites creativity, enhances problem-solving skills, promotes collaboration, and opens pathways to future opportunities. Therefore, children's upbringing must be done in line to enhance their coding skills at a young age because molding the young mind at a young age is easy compared to adults. Eventually, just want to say be code blooded at young age breaking the barriers of age and touching the sky of success.
